Ever have the sense that you've done something spectacularly stupid?

I have a meeting with a student in a few hours and I haven't slept yet, because I started reading a novel-length fanfic. *epic facepalm*

Um, and it was so, like, emotionally involving that I have to find something else to wind me down before I'll actually be able to sleep. Um. Oh well?
