- ALLISON IRAHETA IS OPENING FOR ADAM LAMBERT. I THINK I MIGHT DIE OF JOY. I'll be going to a show in the Chicago area (assuming there is one...man, it's nice being close to places with more than one major concert a year), if anyone else was thinking of going to same?
- Finally reading some fic I've had open in tabs since literally December. Fun!
- Got a lot done at work this week! Finally making progress again on some research projects!
- On the downside, I almost got run over again today. Seriously. I not a small woman. I am usually wearing a bright red jacket. WHY IS IT THAT CARS DON'T SEE ME COMING. Or rather, see me THERE, because what usually happens is I'm in the middle of walking at a crosswalk and somebody drives up and then tries to drive through me. At least the person today honked at the last second, which meant I stopped and stared as they drove a foot in front of me instead of taking two more steps and getting hit. (Said car was making a left turn, and there is literally no way it could have been construed to have the right of way.) I mean, I'm primarily a pedestrian, but even so this happens at least every six months to me and--I've asked around--never to any of my fellow grad students! WTF.
- Watching the final performance show from So You Think You Can Dance Australia. I've always liked (um...this whole season, which is the only one I've watched) that the judges give real critiques, but I didn't really understand till just now how that makes a glowing, 100% positive review that much more believable and meaningful.
