(no subject)

So I just finished rereading Cyteen, and I went looking online for discussions of the quite creepy sexual politics. (I mean, all the politics are creepy, but the book doesn't really question the sexual politics around azi as much as it does the rest of the interpersonal relationships.)

I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet, but I did discover a book called Deconstructing the Starships which I need to own yesterday. I also found this interesting (trigger warning) essay by Jo Walton which makes me continue my completely unreasonable crush on her, save her thoughts on fanfic. And then I tripped across a link to Houseplants of Gor, which had me laughing hysterically all alone in my apartment. I'm sure the neighbors already think I'm nuts, so that's no loss.
