Hi author! First things first: I'm so glad you signed up for this exchange and I'm sure I'm gonna love whatever you write. I'll give you some idea of my general preferences below, but above all else, what I love is a story the author has passion about. So if you have a story you're burning to write but it doesn't seem to fit what I have below, I'd rather you write that story than follow my sometimes changeable whims. :)
I'm goseaward here and AO3 and...well, everywhere, if you want to look me up. I've been doing a rec list of my all-time favorite fics in all fandoms, plus I have existing rec lists for Sherlock and One Direction fandoms, if you'd like to see the kinds of things I like.
In general, I like fics that are a deep study of the characters' relationship; AUs; porn; and plotty fics like mysteries. Any rating is fine, general audiences to explicit. I also tend to be quite interested in queerness as a topic, which is relevant for most of the fandoms I requested, I think. I'll repeat from my signup that I'd like a story that doesn't require any of the AO3 required warnings (underage, noncon, major character death, graphic violence--with the exception of Kingsman for the last, see below). And please no memory issues like amnesia or dementia, and no torture.
Specific fandom notes:
Charm of Magpies: I love all the secondary characters as well, but especially the Golds.
Band Sinister: Really any combination of the four men would satisfy me, beyond the ships mentioned in the signup, or a fic with multiple combinations of same. As long as they're all respectful of each other!
Lilywhite Boys: No additional comments here--just love the characters and wouldn't mind more of them.
Society of Gentlemen: Another series where I like all the supporting characters, too, so please feel free (but not obliged) to include lots of people beyond the pairing you choose!
Tortall: While I do very much enjoy the idea of George and Jon together, I also love Alanna with my whole heart, so please do it in a way that doesn't badmouth or harm her.
Kingsman: Being Kingsman, canon-typical violence is okay even if it violates my DNW of no graphic violence (should have said that in the signup, sorry). And FWIW, I very much enjoy reading about Eggsy getting absolutely railed.
